"Hello everyone. I own a 2000 Winnebago Minnie Winnie and would like to take my home satellite receiver with me when I am on the road. I found a dish at Walmart but I would like to mount the dish on a tripod in order to make it portable. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can purchase a tripod? Also, does anyone know of a device I can purchase that will help me position the satellite correctly? Thank you all for your help".

"I have the sidekick which is mounted outside a window at home so that all I have to do is open the window and loosen two bolts and unhook the cable and we're off camping. The only reason I take it now is in case the dish on top of the M/H doesn't have a clear shot at the satellite.
I have Dish satellite and the only thing I need to set it up is a good compass, a small level and know what the local zip code is. Usually can set it up in about 10 minutes".

most likely problem is your not finding the sat this dish only has a 8" dish everything has to be perfect to find the signal
with a small dish like that

I use the sidekick when camping I found it to be the best and easiest
to set up for the price of your Winegard on e-bay you can buy the sidekick
which you can mount a any size dish which has a larger footprint then your 8"

I've installed a Dish 300,500, 1000 and a DirecTV oval three way on it

I presenly use a Dish 1000 on it and hit all three sats within minutes I always draw a crowd when I pull out my dish"!
